Job summary

Town of Addison seeks an Emergency Communications Assistant Operations Manager to support the North Texas Emergency Communications Center (NTECC) and lead daily operations under the Operations Manager. You will promote the center's mission, supervise staff, and ensure policy adherence.

You will de-escalate incidents, review performance data, and coordinate training and quality assurance efforts across dispatch operations. A commitment to after-hours readiness is essential.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership support to the Operations Department and participate in daily operations.
• Ensure quarterly and annual performance evaluations are completed for staff.
• Monitor performance, training, and compliance; mentor staff as needed.
• Review dispatch audio, evaluate reports, and counsel staff.
• Participate in internal investigations and complaints as needed.
• Manage administration for the Operations including schedule and overtime approvals.
• Coordinate QA and training to improve performance and processes.
• Prepare reports, shift notes, incident summaries, and paperwork.
• Assist in equipment testing and social media coordination for NTECC.
• Develop and review policies and guidelines for operations.
• Respond to critical issues after hours and contribute to annual budget planning.
• Perform ECS and Operations supervisor duties as needed.
