Job summary

Jobtailor in Atlanta seeks a results-driven General Manager to lead Area Leaders, coach teams, and uphold safety and service standards. You will drive engagement, accountability, and operational excellence, using data to improve processes, productivity, and client satisfaction.

You will develop budgets, monitor expenses, forecast staffing with Recruiting, and mentor future leaders while expanding services and maintaining strong relationships.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of leadership experience with budget and reporting responsibility.
• General Manager experience preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Proven ability to manage and develop teams while driving results.
• Strong Excel and data analysis skills.
• Organized, detail-oriented, and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
• Passion for delivering outstanding service and building lasting relationships.
• Familiarity with hiring, talent development, and performance management.
• Ability to think on your feet, make sound decisions, and motivate a team under pressure.
• Proficient in MS Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.
• Comfortable navigating new platforms.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to travel regularly throughout the market.
• Ability to lift/carry up to 50 lbs., navigate stairs, and work in varying weather conditions.
• Comfortable working around unpleasant odors when needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead, coach, mentor, and support Area Leaders.
• Drive engagement, accountability, and operational excellence.
• Use data analysis to improve processes, productivity, and service delivery.
• Develop budgets, monitor expenses, and report on financial performance.
• Forecast staffing needs and partner with Recruiting to maintain team coverage.
• Lead training and enforce standards for systems usage, safety, and service protocols.
• Collaborate with Sales and Account Executives to ensure client satisfaction and resolve issues.
• Identify opportunities to expand services and grow existing client relationships.
• Conduct site visits to ensure service quality and safety standards.
• Step in as needed to ensure seamless service continuity.
• Oversee vehicle compliance, maintenance, and warehouse inventory.
• Identify future leaders and support professional growth.
• Work alongside Area Leaders and frontline teams, including occasional trash pickup in the mornings or at night.
• Lead assigned special projects from start to finish.
