Job summary

American Organics is seeking an Operations Supervisor to manage day-to-day operations across composting, transportation, and maintenance. You will oversee performance, lead a team, own the division's P&L, and drive revenue growth and cost control while ensuring regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities include budgeting, staff development, safety programs, and coordinating with vendors and customers. The role requires 7–10 years of management experience in manufacturing or waste-recycling

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; 7–10 years of management experience in manufacturing or waste-recycling/conversion.
• Experience managing a manufacturing operation with processing equipment.
• Knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and related regulations; strong leadership and coaching ability.

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations and achieve productivity metrics.
• Full P&L responsibility for the assigned division including revenue growth and cost management.
• Lead teams across compost operations, transportation, and maintenance.
• Develop staff, set goals, and provide performance feedback.
• Ensure compliance with all federal, state, OSHA and local regulations.
• Plan budgets, review monthly results with leadership, and manage capital projects.
• Engage with vendors and customers and manage safety programs.
