Job summary

San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is seeking a Manager, Operations - Revenue Audit to lead the Revenue Audit function, ensuring GAAP-compliant revenue reporting, regulatory alignment, and strong internal controls across the organization.

You will supervise audit supervisors and staff, manage month-end close activities, plan and execute audit initiatives, and drive process improvements while collaborating with cross-functional teams and external regulators.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required.
• Masters degree preferred.
• Minimum 5 years of work experience in Audit, Accounting, Fraud, Risk, or Compliance.
• Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.

Responsibilities

• Sets audit review strategy and oversees department-wide audit execution to ensure accuracy and compliance.
• Oversees month-end close processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
• Leads planning and execution of projects related to operational improvements and regulatory changes.
• Identifies gaps in audit coverage and implements strategies to strengthen audit effectiveness.
• Interprets regulatory changes (GAAP, GAAS, MICS) and updates internal policies accordingly.
• Advocates for Revenue Audit requirements in cross-functional projects.
• Builds cross-departmental partnerships to resolve audit issues and support initiatives.
• Coordinates responses to external auditors and regulatory bodies; assigns responsibilities for timely deliverables.
• Performs other duties to support department operations.
