Job summary

Sabre Systems, LLC seeks an organized Operations Lead to support the NAVAIR Digital Department at Patuxent River, MD. You will implement day-to-day operations, reporting, and project management practices to keep leadership informed and aligned with priorities.

The role requires strong Power BI capabilities, PM/Portfolio management experience in IT services, and discretion. Preference for candidates local to Patuxent River, Maryland, or with Navy/NAVAIR support experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in business administration, communications, information technology, or related field; master's preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in operations, executive support, program/project management, or IT services operations.
• Demonstrated Power BI experience, including dashboard development and operational reporting for leadership.
• Experience in project/portfolio management for an IT services group with intake, prioritization, status reporting, and delivery tracking.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 including Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Power Platform tools proficiency (Power Automate and workflow automation).
• Strong organizational skills with ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communications; discretion and confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations for the Director and leadership; align priorities and communications.
• Establish priorities, deconflict requirements, and synchronize activities across staff and stakeholders.
• Serve as escalation point for complex operational issues.
• Lead PM/portfolio management for the IT services group, including intake, prioritization, milestones, risks, and delivery status.
• Develop and execute department strategic priorities with actionable milestones and operating rhythms.
• Establish governance cadences and status reviews for portfolio health and delivery risk.
• Coordinate senior-level meetings, workshops, and organizational events from planning through execution.
• Maintain visibility of commitments, action items, and deadlines.
