Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year in experience/theater/entertainment is required.
• 2 years in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Evening, holiday and weekend availability required.
• Liquor handling and Serv Safe certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Support cashiers and bartenders to ensure excellent guest service and maximize sales.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with technicians.
• Maintain a safe, organized event environment.
• Handle payments and follow cash handling policies.
• Be first point of contact for guest concerns and escalate when needed.

Step into a world of wonder and help bring the magic to life! The Denver Museum of Nature & Science is seeking a Seasonal Operations Lead to support the nightly operations of Magical Winter Nights - our dazzling, after-hours holiday experience that transforms the Museum into a twinkling winter wonderland.

As the Operations Lead for Magical Winter Nights,you’ll play a key role in ensuring each evening runs smoothly, and every guest walks away with a smile (and maybe a little holiday sparkle). From coordinating nightly logistics to providing staff breaks and addressing guest concerns, you’ll be the behind-the-scenes hero keeping the magic on track. You'll join a collaborative team of leads dedicated to making each night exceptional. This role supports the operations for Guest Services, Retail, and Bar locations throughout the experience.

While this role has no formal supervisory responsibilities, you’ll provide nightly support and guidance for the Guest Services and Retail Operations staff.

Job Class: Full Time
Hiring Range: $24.00/hour
Work Schedule: This full-time, seasonal position runs from mid-October through January 5, 2027, and requires evening, holiday, and weekend availability.

Essential Duties

• Provides support for Cashiers and Bartenders during Magical Winter Nights to ensure excellent customer service and to maximize sales.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with technical staff as needed.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and guest-focused event environment.
• Receives payment by cash, credit cards, or automatic debits and adheres to cash handling policies and compliance standards.
• Serves as first point of contact for guest concerns and escalates to Manager on Duty when appropriate.
• Works as assigned in Magical Winter Nights areas as needed.
• Assists with replenishing Gift Shop & Bar stock as needed.
• Leads trainings and mentors staff in their work duties specific to Magical Winter Nights.
• Communicates daily with management any updates, concerns, staffing and scheduling issues.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in an experience/theater/entertainment focused environment
• 2 years of experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Effective communicator with both guests and internal teams.
• Magical Winter Nights is an evening event. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required including December 24, 2026, December 31, 2026 and January 1, 2027.
• Ability to pass required certification for liquor handlingand Serv Safe certification.
