Job description

The days are drawing short and the magic of the winter season is setting in at the Denver Museum of Nature and Science. Come be part of this magical journey by joining the DMNS team today.

As the Experience Lead for Magical Winter Nights, you’ll be part stage manager, part problem-solver, part guest-experience champion, and part behind-the-scenes magic maker. You’ll help prepare event spaces, keep experiences show-ready, support team members, troubleshoot the little things before they become big things, and make sure guests can focus on what they came for: a Magical Winter Journey.

We are looking for an energetic, guest focused, seasonal lead to help make sure that each piece of the magical winter journey is ready for our guests every night.

Job Class:Full Time
Hiring Range: $24.00/hour
Work Schedule: This full-time, seasonal position runs from mid-October through January 5, 2027, and requires evening, holiday, and weekend availability.

Essential Duties

• Responsible for making sure the experience is show ready each day, prepping spaces, escalating concerns, tracking experience item inventory and condition and reporting accordingly.
• Troubleshoot basic technical issues and coordinate with technical staff as needed.
• Ensure a safe, organized, and guest-focused event environment.
• Works with Guest Services & Retail Operations areas as needed.
• Doing walkthroughs of the experience throughout the event, adjusting and refreshing areas as needed, observing guests and guests' behavior to support the best guest experience.
• Ability to handle multiple tasks, needs, and customer interactions simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
• Serve as first point of contact for experience concerns; elevate to Manager on Duty when appropriate.
• Leads trainings and mentors staff in their work duties specific to Magical Winter Nights.
• Stays aware of the daily staff schedule and advanced ticket sales to make informed decisions about experience needs.
• Communicates daily with management any updates, concerns, staffing and scheduling issues.
• Oversees work of support team members to ensure that day-to-day tasks are completed according to established procedures and standards.
• Ability to support guest services by addressing guest questions or feedback and escalating as appropriate.
• Assists with training and orientation for new team members.
• Make decisions and escalations as needed and appropriate for daily experience needs.

Minimum Qualifications/Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year experience working in an experience/theater/entertainment focused environment
• 2 years experience in a fast-paced customer service environment.
• Effective communicator with both guests and internal teams.
• Magic Winter Nights is an evening event. Ability to work evenings, weekends and holidays is required including December 24, 2026, December 31, 2026 and January 1, 2027.
