Job summary

University of Hawaii is seeking an Operations Coordinator in Honolulu to support the Center on Disability Studies within the College of Education. The role begins October 2026 with renewal contingent on funds and performance, and involves extensive coordination across staff, fiscal management, and outreach activities.

You will supervise student assistants, assist in program operations, and ensure compliance with UH and funding guidelines while coordinating meetings, events, and procurement

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business administration or related field with 3 years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of federal/state laws, procurement, and fiscal administration for federally funded projects.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and collaborate with internal and external partners.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coordinate student assistants and support staff.
• Develop and coordinate program operational plans and controls.
• Plan and coordinate outreach and marketing with partners to recruit participants.
• Provide administrative, fiscal, and program-management analysis support.
• Process procurement and fiscal transactions in compliance with rules.
• Maintain project budgets and prepare financial reports with fiscal staff.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and facility use.
• Support project events at sites, including neighbor islands, and occasional evenings/weekends.
• Stay current with University policies and state/federal requirements.
• Prepare reports and assist in grant budget preparation.
