Job summary

Barcade in Detroit is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations, lead designated shifts, train staff, and oversee the beer program. You will ensure guest satisfaction, brand standards, and smooth service.

The role requires bar/restaurant management experience, full-time availability, and familiarity with beer knowledge. Barcade offers benefits and a dynamic arcade-bar environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bar or restaurant management.
• Full-time availability including late nights, holidays and weekends.
• Ability to lead service teams and manage floor operations.
• Strong organizational skills for scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting.
• Knowledge of craft beer styles and service standards.
• Willingness to learn light game maintenance (training provided).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar, kitchen, and arcade.
• TIPS and CBS certification within 90 days or already certified.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Lead designated service shifts with a focus on timing, pace, and guest experience.
• Assist in training and onboarding new hires across departments; support coaching and staff development.
• Submit time and attendance records and complete cash drop documentation.
• Manage the Beer Program, including ordering, inventory, POS administration, beer menus, and beer education.
• Ensure front-of-house and guest-facing areas reflect Barcade’s standards of quality and brand identity.
• Support small repairs and maintenance tasks, particularly in the game area.
