Barcade in Detroit is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support daily operations, lead designated shifts, train staff, and oversee the beer program. You will ensure guest satisfaction, brand standards, and smooth service.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in bar or restaurant management.

• Willingness to learn light game maintenance (training provided).
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar, kitchen, and arcade.
• TIPS and CBS certification within 90 days or already certified.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for long periods.

What You’ll Do

At Barcade®, the Assistant General Manager (AGM) supports the General Manager in overseeing daily operations and service at a specific Barcade location. This includes managing designated shifts, coordinating staff training, handling administrative tasks, and leading the location’s beer program. The AGM is a visible and active presence on the floor, ensuring smooth service, brand consistency, and guest satisfaction.

What You’ll Need to Succeed

• A minimum of 2+ years of experience in bar or restaurant management, with direct responsibility for service leadership
• Full-time availability, including late nights, holidays and weekend shifts
• Demonstrated ability to lead service teams, manage floor operations, and respond in real time to service issues.
• Strong organizational skills and follow-through on administrative tasks, including scheduling, timekeeping, and reporting
• Solid knowledge of craft beer styles, service standards, and storage
• Willingness to learn light game maintenance or repairs (training provided)
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced bar, kitchen, and arcade environment
• TIPS and CBS certification within 90 days (or already certified)
• Ability to perform the essential functions of the role, including remaining on your feet for extended periods and lifting up to 50 lbs, with or without reasonable accommodation
