Job summary

ODW Logistics Inc. is seeking an Operations Lead to manage warehouse teams and ensure safety, productivity, and quality goals are met on the warehouse floor in Kentucky.

You will direct warehousing staff, run reports to optimize capacity, and maintain inbound/outbound documentation while using our WMS and timekeeping system. Strong leadership and reliability are essential for this hands-on role.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business-related field (Preferred).
  • 3 years of Forklift experience.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Warehouse Management System experience.
  • Must be able to excel in a team-oriented environment and be comfortable leading teams to achieve safety, productivity and quality goals.
  • Must be hands on, able to handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Directs appropriate warehousing team.
  • Runs all necessary reports to determine effective action to maximize building capacity.
  • Completes all required documentation on inbound and outbound documents.
  • Reads and understands general instructions and prepare written reports.
  • Understands and uses company’s warehouse management system, and our time keeping system.
  • Handles all products according to customer and employer procedures.
  • Communicates changes in extraordinary handling procedures to office personnel.
  • Communicates and advises Supervisor of operational issues that may involve other departments.
  • Understands company goals and works to create an environment for success.
  • Supports company safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
  • Interacts with various levels of local management concerning daily activities.
  • Complies with all other procedures outlined in the Operations & Procedure Manual.
  • Communicates effectively with Transportation, Warehouse, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
  • Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business-related field (Preferred).

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to:

  • Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn or reach
  • Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities
  • Moderate overtime and occasional weekend work
  • Work various shifts on short notice
  • Spend 90% of time on warehouse floor in fast-paced environment
