Job summary

ODW Logistics, Inc. is seeking an Operations Lead to supervise warehousing teams, safeguard inventory integrity, and drive efficiency in daily operations. You will generate reports, manage inbound/outbound documentation, and liaise with multiple departments to address operational issues.

A hands-on leader with forklift experience is preferred. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent, an associate degree preferred, and proficiency in MS Office and WMS systems.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business-related field preferred.
• 3 years of forklift experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Warehouse Management System experience.
• Must be able to excel in a team-oriented environment and lead teams to safety, productivity and quality goals.

Responsibilities

• Directs appropriate warehousing team and runs reports to maximize building capacity.
• Maintains accuracy and salability of client inventory by following procedures.
• Completes inbound/outbound documentation and prepares written reports.
• Communicates changes and issues to supervisors and other departments.
• Interacts with management at various levels to support goals.
• Adheres to safety, quality, and productivity initiatives and SOPs.

• Pay or shift range: $21.75 USD to $22.75 USD The estimated range is the budgeted amount for this position. Final offers are based on various factors, including skill set, experience, location, qualifications and other job-related reasons.

Essential Functions for Operations Lead:

• Protects the accuracy, integrity, and salability of our client's inventory entrusted to us, through the adherence to standard operating procedures and meeting physical inventory and/or cycle count accuracy expectations.
• Directs appropriate warehousing team.
• Runs all necessary reports to determine effective action to maximize building capacity.
• Completes all required documentation on inbound and outbound documents.
• Reads and understands general instructions and prepare written reports.
• Understands and uses company’s warehouse management system, and our time keeping system.
• Handles all products according to customer and employer procedures.
• Communicates changes in extraordinary handling procedures to office personnel. Completes warehouse worksheet.
• Communicates and advises Supervisor of operational issues that may involve other departments.
• Understands company goals and works to create an environment for success.
• Supports company safety, quality, and productivity initiatives.
• Interacts with various levels of local management concerning daily activities.
• Complies with all other procedures outlined in the Operations & Procedure Manual.
• Communicates effectively with Transportation, Warehouse, Management, Co-workers, and Customers.
• Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Required

• High school diploma or equivalent (Required).
• Associate’s degree in Logistics or Business-related field (Preferred).
• 3 years of Forklift experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Warehouse Management System experience.
• Must be able to excel in a team-oriented environment and be comfortable leading teams to achieve safety, productivity and quality goals.
• Must be "hands on", able to handle multiple priorities, and meet deadlines.

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee requires the ability to:
• Hear, read and comprehend, write, and communicate
• Continuously sit, type, and perform repetitive wrist motion
• Occasionally stand, walk, bend, squat/kneel, twist/turn or reach
• Focus (with or without corrective lenses) to see close and distant, along with depth perception capabilities
• Moderate overtime and occasional weekend work
• Work various shifts on short notice
• Spend 90% of time on warehouse floor in fast-paced environment
