Overview

Warehouse Operations Lead has general responsibility to assist in coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Operations Supervisor, this position is responsible for directing work assignments in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

Responsibilities
  • Work closely with shift leadership to accomplish shift goals
  • Oversee and coordinate warehouse processes such as receiving, put away, picking, and loading of products
  • Direct work assignments to employees
  • Provide daily hands‑on support in material handling and forklift responsibilities
  • Drive compliance with safety, quality, and productivity goals in support of warehouse leadership team objectives
  • Brainstorm and suggest new ideas on how to improve processes to supervisor
  • Communicate professionally, both orally and (sic) written, to internal and external partners
  • Communicate problems, concerns, and ideas to management; assist in finding solutions to problem areas
  • Ensure efficient and safe operation of all material handling equipment
  • Train new and current employees on operational SOPs and WIs
  • Ensure the warehouse is clean and orderly, including but not limited to organizing and rotating inventory, maintaining product labels, sweeping warehouse, and assisting in staging orders for delivery
  • Ensure product is stored safely and in the proper place
  • Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse
  • Additional duties as assigned by the warehouse supervisor or manager
Qualifications
  • High School diploma or GED required
  • Experience in a fast‑paced warehouse environment
  • Experience with Warehouse Management System
  • Computer applications using Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to handle changing priorities and use good judgment in stressful situations
  • Good visual acuity to inspect shipments
  • Ability to input data on the computer to create a daily inventory report
  • Accuracy in recordkeeping and in sorting, checking, counting, and verifying items received
  • Strong time management, organizational, planning, and self‑motivation skills
  • MHE experience or desire to learn MHE
  • Must have attention to detail
  • Must have excellent customer service skills
