Job summary

L3Harris Technologies is seeking a Senior Specialist, Project Engineering in Fort Wayne, IN. You will lead daily operations for optical-mechanical assemblies, coordinating across manufacturing, engineering, and program offices to ensure cost, schedule, and technical performance meet program goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree with 6+ years relevant experience or Master’s with 4+ years; or 10+ years relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Active Secret Clearance required.
• Experience with high-reliability, spaceflight-grade mechanical optical hardware.
• Experience in manufacturing or test engineering roles.
• Proven ability to lead production constraint resolution and process improvements.
• Experience leading RCCA activities.
• Proficiency in MS Project, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
• Lean and Six Sigma methodologies experience; EVMS certification desirable.

Responsibilities

• Primary interface between production floor and planning & control with IPM as program lead.
• Accountable for technical, cost, risk/opportunity, and schedule performance.
• Serve as CAM for cost and schedule of Operations scope.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality, Contracts, Manufacturing, and PMO.
• Contribute IMS schedule inputs and change management processes.
• Monitor actions, ensure prompt corrective actions and recovery plans.
• Coordinate verification and validation of new processes and product improvements.
• Support Manufacturing and Production Readiness Reviews for product line.
