The chosen candidate will lead a team in payload mechanical architecture and cryogenic optical design for missile warning/defense systems, with opportunity to contribute to flight hardware integration and IRAD development. Must have extensive experience with EO/IR payloads, SWaP constraints, and the ability to obtain a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor's in Aerospace or Mechanical Engineering; graduate degree preferred.
• Minimum 9 years of relevant experience; 5+ years leading a technical team.
• Experience with government contracts, requirements and compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for payload mechanical architecture and optical design.
• Ensure adherence to mechanical design standards and processes.
• Lead proposals and guide concept, BOE and BOM development.
• Develop technologies for lower mass, cost, and higher performance.
• Collaborate across functions to minimize gaps in requirements and performance.
