Job summary

J.B. Hunt Transport, Inc. in Houston, TX is seeking an Operations Internship for Spring 2027 (Evergreen) to support transportation and logistics tasks under close supervision.

The position is part-time and requires 20-25 hours per week while you study. You will gain exposure to freight planning, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis, with opportunities to contribute to value delivery and industry initiatives.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate degree program in good standing.
• Must be able to work 20-25 hours a week during the school semester.

Responsibilities

• Gain exposure and understanding of basic transportation management principles.
• Participate in daily operational tasks including planning of freight, asset utilization, safety management, DOT compliance, driver payroll, and logistics analysis.
• Gain understanding of industry trends and company initiatives as they relate to driver retention.
• Perform account-specific duties as required by the customer.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
