Job summary

DSV – Global Transport and Logistics in Goodyear, AZ, is seeking a General Manager of Operations to oversee strategic direction, compliance and financial results for a designated operation on-site. You will champion continuous improvement, LEAN practices, and ISO activities while growing new business and ensuring client satisfaction.

You will lead safety, budgeting, vendor relations, and marketing planning, coordinating with senior leadership to meet contract requirements and performance

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
• Bachelor’s degree is preferred
• 7 years’ experience in logistics/distribution environment.
• 5 years’ experience in leadership role in logistics/supply chain in operations management capacity.
• Must be able to work in unregulated warehouse temperatures.

Responsibilities

• Ensures systems and procedures for safe, profitable operations in line with policies.
• Leads operations to meet prescribed productivity and service goals; complies with client site agreement.
• Sets goals to drive continuous improvement efforts.
• Develops and maintains productive relations with vendors, suppliers, and partners; ensures OSHA and legal compliance.
• Assists in setting standards for client scope of work.
• Develops and manages controls to meet service levels within cost, revenue, and profit parameters.
• Partners with senior leadership to develop and recommend annual operating budget.
• Responsible for overall safety and security of operation.
• Develops team to achieve company and client objectives; mentors and plans succession.
• Communicates mission, vision, and core values to motivate staff.
