Job summary

Association of Alaska Housing Authorities in Anchorage seeks an Operations and Finance Manager to lead day-to-day finance, HR, and systems, ensuring efficient operations and strong internal controls. You will partner with the Executive Director, support the Finance Committee, and drive improvements across grants and reporting.

The role involves implementing the NICRA, strengthening financial systems, and guiding the organization toward sustainable growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, public administration, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in finance, administration, operations, or bookkeeping.
• Experience supervising staff, managing budgets, coordinating multiple projects.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, HR, contract management, nonprofit compliance.
• Proficiency with QuickBooks or similar software; strong Office skills.
• Experience with grant-funded programs and reporting requirements.
• Ability to build relationships with AAHA members, Tribal partners, contractors, and government entities.

Responsibilities

• General Operations, HR and Logistics management and coordination.
• Oversee onboarding, payroll processing, and system administration.
• Manage grant tracking, budgets, reports, and indirect cost rate administration.
• Prepare for Finance Committee and Board meetings, and maintain financial dashboards.
• Coordinate accounts payable/receivable, audits, and IRS filings.
• Ensure compliance with HUD reviews and internal controls.
