Canteen, a Compass Group division, is seeking an Operations Controller to lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis in an in-office environment. You will drive P&L performance, oversee month-end close, and partner with operations to manage costs and financial controls.

The role requires 5+ years in finance, supervisory experience, and familiarity with hospitality or foodservice sectors. Strong ERP and Excel skills are essential for actionable insights.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or business
• 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting
• Previous supervisory or people management experience
• Hospitality, retail, foodservice, distribution, or related industry experience is a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes with operations leadership
• Manage ongoing forecasts, analyze trends, risks, and opportunities
• Oversee month-end close, financial reporting, and performance analysis
• Own and analyze P&L performance with variance explanations and insights
• Review general ledger activity and balance sheet reconciliations
• Ensure compliance with policies, controls, and reporting requirements
• Partner with operations leadership to improve financial performance and costs
• Provide financial guidance to help operations understand drivers and risks
• Lead, coach, and develop finance team members
• Identify opportunities to improve financial processes and visibility
• Support business initiatives and other finance activities
