Job summary

Compass Group USA is hiring an Operations Controller in San Francisco for a role beginning immediately. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule, with a pay range of $90,000 to $100,000 per year.

The successful candidate will manage cash handling, reconciliation, budgeting, and financial reporting across client locations and support payroll administration. Ideal candidates hold an accounting degree and have 5+ years of revenue control and financial analysis experience in foodservice or

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience with revenue control, financial reporting and cash handling; at least 3 years in a similar role.
• Accounting experience in foodservice or retail industry preferred; foodservice operations experience is a plus.
• Experience with sales analysis and reporting.
• Adept at planning, organizing and controlling complex processes and analyzing moderately complex financial information.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and relationships.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office with emphasis on Excel; POS experience is a plus.
• Strong analytical and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for all cash handling procedures.
• Perform reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accounts.
• Analyze financial results for internal and external use.
• Track and maintain monthly P/L and balance sheet activity.
• Develop forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Review general ledger and balance sheet.
• Resolve various accounting/reconciliation issues.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and audit reporting.
• Maintain inventory and cost control procedures.
• Payroll and Human Resources administration.
• Perform related duties and special projects as assigned.
