Job summary

Wolfgang Puck Catering is hiring an Operations Controller to oversee accounting activity for assigned accounts and support the Regional Director of Finance. The role includes cash handling oversight, balance sheet analysis, and monthly/quarterly/annual reporting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor’s in Accounting or equivalent experience, 5+ years in revenue control and financial reporting, and familiarity with POS systems and cash reports.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or equivalent professional experience.
• Minimum five years’ experience with revenue control, financial reporting and cash handling.
• Accounting experience in foodservice or retail industry preferred.
• Ability to prepare monthly financial statements, budgets, forecasts, cash flows.
• Strong planning, organizing and cross-functional collaboration skills.
• Experience with POS, cash and credit card reports.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees all cash handling procedures.
• Performs reconciliation and analysis for several balance sheet accounts.
• Analyzes financial results for internal and external use.
• Tracks and maintains monthly P/L and balance sheet activity.
• Develops forecasts and budgets, identifying risks and opportunities.
• Reviews general ledger and balance sheets.
• Resolves various accounting/reconciliation issues.
• Completes financial reports: monthly, quarterly and annual reports.
• Maintains inventory and cost control procedures.
• Performs payroll and HR administration.
• Performs related duties and special projects as assigned.
