Job summary

Ahtna, Inc. is seeking a Business Analyst to provide analytics and administrative support for strategic initiatives. The role focuses on documenting financial and operational processes, budgeting, forecasting, and improving cost control through data-driven insights.

Level II–III responsibilities include mentoring staff, monthly reporting to leadership, and ensuring compliance with GAAP and FAR. The position offers a competitive benefits package and a Monday–Friday schedule at the Anchorage

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business management, or related field.
• Proficient in Excel and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of GAAP and FAR.
• Experience with Cognos/Deltek or similar ERP/ forecasting tools.
• Experience analyzing financial data and reporting metrics.

Responsibilities

• Review and document business processes to improve efficiency and standardization.
• Monitor project costs, contract billings, budgets, and revenue recognition.
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities.
• Prepare reports and presentations for management and executives.
• Collaborate with departments to identify business needs and implement solutions.
