Job summary

Jobtailor in Illinois seeks a manufacturing operations consultant to perform on-site assessments, develop KPIs, and drive continuous improvement. You will lead teams, deliver training, and ensure projects meet time and budget targets.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in manufacturing ops or consulting, strong problem-solving and communication skills, and are willing to travel up to 100% weekly.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Management, or a relevant degree.
• 3+ years of manufacturing operations and/or consulting experience.
• Ability to build, manage, and foster a team-oriented environment.
• Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment.
• Strong interpersonal communication and advanced Excel, and PowerPoint abilities.
• Must be willing to travel Sunday evening to Thursday evening, weekly 80%-100% travel is required.

Responsibilities

• Perform assessments by conducting operational and shop-floor observations.
• Develop and deploy KPIs and operating systems to measure and improve operating performance.
• Manage and lead continuous process improvement initiatives.
• Deliver training, coach, and mentor client staff.
• Ensure deliverables are achieved on time and within budget.
