Job summary

Medline Industries, LP offers a 10-week Operations Engineering Internship in the Chicagoland area. You will work directly with rotational engineers on Medline warehouses, taking on projects from day one and gaining real-world experience.

Ideal candidates are rising seniors in undergraduate programs with an engineering/industrial/systems background and a minimum GPA. The program runs early June through mid-August with exposure to social and leadership events.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.
• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
• Background in Engineering, Industrial or Systems preferred

Responsibilities

• Work directly with rotational engineers on Medline warehouses.
• Perform work measurements and standards, and support cost-benefit analyses.
• Assist with developing new standards and improving cubic utilization in warehouses.
• Provide on-site support during technology (robotics) go-lives.
• Projects range from small daily tasks to large scale initiatives.
