Job summary

Qualifications

  • Rising senior in an undergraduate program.
  • Background in Engineering, Industrial or Systems preferred.
  • Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred.
  • Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated problem solving skills.
  • Motivated self-starter.
  • Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.
  • Unrestricted permanent US work authorization.

Responsibilities

  • Work directly with rotational engineers.
  • Focus on projects assigned by upper management relating to Medline warehouses.
  • Perform work measurements and standards activities.
  • Develop process improvements.
  • Conduct cost-benefit analysis and justification.
  • Analyze and correct bottlenecks in a Medline warehouse.
  • Create and implement new standards.
  • Slot multiple warehouses to improve travel time per line.
  • Improve cubic utilization within warehouses.
  • Provide on-site support during technology (robotics) go-lives.
  • Complete projects ranging from daily activities to large-scale projects throughout the internship.
