Job summary

Morton Salt is launching a 12‑month Operations Rotation Program at an evaporation or solar site for newly graduated engineers (chemical, electrical, industrial, or mechanical). The Engineer will participate in 3–4 rotations, each lasting 3–4 months, with assignments in Production, Mill, Maintenance, and Shipping.

The program begins Spring or Summer 2027 at sites nationwide, including Glendale, AZ. Participants receive mentoring from senior technical and operations leaders and build competencies

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or master's degree in chemical, electrical, industrial, or mechanical engineering (GPA 3.0+).
• 0–2 years of engineering experience.
• Willing to relocate for the duration of the program (and potentially after).
• Strong communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills; self-directed and proactive.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and revise processes to improve safety, quality, and efficiency.
• Develop new processes by researching technologies and evaluating safety, quality, and cost.
• Apply engineering understanding in hands-on environments to troubleshoot and collaborate for results.
• Coordinate maintenance, production, and resources to implement cost-effective solutions.
• Lead project implementation from planning to closeout with safety and quality in mind.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to ensure project requirements and documentation.
