Job summary

Medline Internship Program offers real-world, hands-on experience with projects in Operations Engineering. The 10-week summer internship runs June through August at one of our Chicagoland offices, with rotations and exposure to upper management.

You will work on projects like bottleneck analysis, standards creation, and warehouse optimization. Ideal candidates are rising seniors in engineering or related fields, with a 3.0 GPA or higher, leadership potential, and a drive to improve processes

Qualifications

• Background in Engineering, Industrial or Systems preferred.
• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities and demonstrated problem solving skills.
• Motivated self-starter.
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles is a plus.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and correcting bottlenecks in a Medline warehouse.
• Creating and implementing new standards.
• Slotting multiple warehouses to improve travel time per line.
• Improving cubic utilization within the warehouses.
• Providing on-site support during technology (robotics) go lives.
