Job summary

Medline Industries, LP invites students to join a 10‑week Inventory Management Supply Chain Internship in the Chicagoland area. You’ll collaborate with senior managers on process improvement, data extraction, reporting, and projects across procurement, inventory deployment, and planning to meet service, cost, and efficiency goals.

The role emphasizes hands-on learning, leadership development, and exposure to lean principles, with real contributions to ongoing initiatives and potential future

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain or Engineering with junior standing and 3.0 GPA preferred.
• Strong leadership abilities and analytical/problem-solving skills.
• Excellent organization, communication, data analysis and follow up skills (project management experience preferred).
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products.
• Experience with Lean/Continuous Improvement (Six Sigma, PMP, CPIM) is a plus.
• Knowledge of data/visualization tools (Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, SAP, Business Objects) is a plus.
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization.

Responsibilities

• Work directly with senior managers on process improvement and business system projects across the supply chain.
• Support optimization of supply and demand planning, inventory deployment, and stocking policies.
• Extract data, generate reports, and convert data into actionable information for decisions.
• Contribute to department strategic initiatives and scalable impact beyond the internship period.
