Job summary

Medline Industries, LP is offering a 10-week Inventory Management Supply Chain Internship in the Chicagoland area. You’ll partner with senior managers on process-improvement and business-system projects across the supply chain, including demand planning optimization and inventory deployment strategies.

The role involves data extraction, reporting, and turning data into actionable insights to meet service levels and cost targets.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain or Engineering (Industrial preferred)
• Junior standing with 3.0 minimum GPA preferred
• Strong leadership abilities and analytical/problem-solving skills
• Excellent organization, communication, data analysis and follow up skills (Project management experience preferred)
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing/Continuous Improvement principles is a plus (Six Sigma, PMP, CPIM)
• Knowledge of data and visualization applications (Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, TDV, KNIME, SAP, Business Objects) is a plus
• Unrestricted permanent US work authorization

Responsibilities

• Intern will work with senior managers on process improvement and business system projects across the supply chain
• Analyze and optimize supply and demand planning, inventory deployment, stocking policies
• Extract data, reporting, and convert data into information to support decisions
• Develop reports to detect outliers and issues before they impact the system
• Contribute to department strategic initiatives during the internship
