Job summary

Desert Financial Credit Union is seeking an Operations Engineer II to improve customer experience by analyzing qualitative data and identifying process gaps across IT and business units. You will ensure end-to-end solutions are defined and understood by impacted teams and users.

You will monitor and maintain core processing workflows, manage scheduling and system monitoring tools, and provide on-call support and management reporting to meet service level agreements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent combination of education and experience
• 4+ years of relevant work experience
• 1+ years Credit Union or Banking processing experience
• Proficiency in database (queries), reporting and system monitoring; process / procedure development and adherence
• Effective verbal and written business communication skills, effective presentation skills, and active listening skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
• DB2 knowledge or experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or another relational database

Responsibilities

• Ensure daily Job Processing on the Core Processor to support business objectives.
• Monitor daily, weekly, monthly processes and job routines across enterprise applications.
• Administer enterprise scheduling and monitoring tools for the DSFCU computing environment.
• Manage and communicate elevate issues / exceptions in a timely fashion to senior engineering staff and IT Management.
• Provide management reporting to measure and demonstrate processes and job are completed accurately and timely according to service level agreements.
• Provide on call support to support the DSFCU enterprise.
• Provide technical support for the core processing system including any interruptions to operational service.
• Responsible for all maintenance activity associated with the Core Processor including such activities as data updates, end of day processing, end of month processing and ACH processing.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

Job description

The Operations Engineer II provides organizational support and guidance to improve the internal and external customer experience using qualitative data. They collect, organize, analyzes, and summarize data to uncover process related gaps in the organization's delivery of service. The Operations Engineer II is critical to ensure related changes meet the business need / objectives, ensure it is clearly defined and a full end-to-end solution has been identified, agreed and understood by the impacted IT teams as well as the business users.

What you will do here:

• Ensure that daily Job Processing (scheduling, system backups, posting files) on the Core Processor is successfully completed in order to support the business objectives of the organization.
• Monitor daily, weekly, monthly processes and job routines to ensure seamless operations for the Credit Union and its membership across enterprise applications
• Administer enterprise scheduling and system monitoring tools to manage the DSFCU computing environment including infrastructure, ATMs, messaging and enterprise applications.
• Manage and communicate elevate issues / exceptions in a timely fashion to senior engineering staff and IT Management.
• Provide management reporting to measure and demonstrate processes and job are completed accurately and timely according to service level agreements.
• Provide on call support to support the DSFCU enterprise.
• Provide technical support for the core processing system including any interruptions to operational service.

• Demonstrated proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite, (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint) required.
• DB2 knowledge or experience with Oracle, SQL Server, PostgreSQL, MySQL or another relational database preferred.
