Job summary

BANKWEST is seeking an experienced Operations/Electronic Banking Specialist to support all areas of the Operations Department. The role focuses on online banking, cash management, mobile banking, remote deposit, bill payments, debit card disputes, ACH, wire transfers, and related electronic banking systems.

You will interact with customers and staff to resolve complex inquiries, ensure transactions balance, and produce timely reports.

Qualifications

• High school degree required.
• 3 years of recent banking experience required, 2 years in operations preferred.
• Able to operate computer, telephone, scanner, copier, etc.
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Office.
• Must understand basic accounting functions and apply to banking applications.
• Clear written and spoken communication with customers and staff.
• Ability to reconcile and process transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Ability to prioritize workload and be a team player.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to all areas of the bank and perform a wide variety of duties in the Operations Department.
• Solve and answer complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries and be the expert in online banking, cash management, mobile banking, remote deposit, bill payments, debit card disputes, debit card fraud, ACH, wire transfers, and all other electronic banking systems.
• Ensure transactions and cash letters are in balance, and all daily reports and activities are timely and accurate.
• Maintain regular contact with customers and staff, and coordinate with external systems (Jack Henry, Federal Reserve Bank, and correspondent bank).

Job Overview

BANKWEST, with offices in Rockford, Hanover and Buffalo, is seeking an experienced Operations/ Electronic Banking Specialist that will provide support to all areas of the bank and performs a wide variety of duties in the Operations Department. In addition to many daily duties, the Operations / Electronic Banking Specialist, solves, and answers complex customer transactions, problems, or inquiries and is the expert in online banking, cash management, mobile banking, remote deposit, bill payments, debit card disputes, debit card fraud, ACH transactions, wire transfers, and all other electronic banking systems. This position will have regular contact with customers, employees, Jack Henry, the Federal Reserve Bank, and the correspondent bank to ensure all transactions and cash letters are in balance, all daily reports and activities are timely and accurate, and customers are able to use the bank’s electronic banking systems.

Salary

Base: $24.00 - $31.25 per hour (depending upon experience)

Education & Experience

• High school degree required.
• 3 years of recent banking experience required, 2 years of recent Operation experience preferred.
• Capable of operating computer, telephone, scanner, copier, etc.
• Must be skilled in Microsoft Office.
• Must understand basic accounting functions and know how to use those skills in bank applications.
• Able to communicate thoughts clearly, both orally and written to both customers and staff.
