Job summary

Simon Property Group in Atlanta (Phipps Plaza) seeks a Director of Operations to maximize the shopping experience by coordinating maintenance, safety, and custodial teams, and by managing contracts and services. The role ensures asset preservation, code compliance, and a premier guest environment.

The position leads preventative maintenance, safety programs, and capital projects, while partnering with property leadership to optimize tenant sales and operating margins.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5 years of prior Operations, Facilities or Property Management experience.
• Working knowledge of maintenance and operational functions preferred.
• Ability to read blueprints and CAD drawings.

Responsibilities

• Develop 5-year capital plan to maintain and enhance property assets.
• Oversees preventative maintenance and logs for equipment.
• Manage property operating expenses within budget and controls variances.
• Coordinate capital projects with vendors, bids, and service agreements.
• Lead maintenance staff and ensure safety programs (OSHA, ADA).
• Assist GM with emergency planning and crisis management.
