Base pay range

$60,000.00/yr - $65,000.00/yr

Job Title: Operations Director

Reports To: Lead Pastor

Position Type: Full Time (40 hours)

The Operations Director works closely with the Lead Pastor to implement the operational elements that bring the vision and mission of Gospel City into reality. This person is responsible for the successful logistical operation of Sunday mornings, ministry events, administrative operations, and people management. This person needs to be gifted in administration, communication, and leadership. It’s important for this person to take initiative and to empower the people of Gospel City to serve the church. This role anticipates the needs and growth of our church and is forward thinking in the operations and events throughout the year. The administrative operations include facility management, event preparation and execution, scheduling, budgeting, ordering & supply management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate all Special Events
  • Oversee Facility Rentals
  • Direct the hospitality operations for Sunday mornings, including oversight and scheduling of serve teams.
  • Serve as the chief Guest Services contact on Sundays, functioning as a relational and warm public-facing presence. Must be able to project a calm and hospitable demeanor, problem-solve accurately and quickly, handle sensitive situations, and proactively manage all operational details
  • Weekly finance functions such as payroll, leading the Offering Count Team, facilitating bank deposits, receipt capture, processing invoices & reimbursements.
  • Assist the finance committee in preparing and monitoring church budget through categorizing giving and expenses.
  • Oversee tasks related to compliance, staff onboarding/offboarding
  • Oversee weekly church communication including formal newsletter and informal communication via Slack.

OTHER:

  • As a staff member of Gospel City Church, the overarching purpose of this role is to serve the mission of the church. As such, this person may be assigned tasks and responsibilities from time to time which are outside of the scope of this job description.

Experience and Requirements

  • A maturing relationship with Jesus
  • Excitement about the vision, mission, and values of Gospel City Church
  • Must be wholeheartedly aligned with Gospel City’s commitment to Word & Spirit ministry
  • High maturity including discretion and maintaining confidentiality when necessary
  • Excellent skills in people management and delegation
  • Ability to coordinate multiple tasks at once, pay attention to details, adjust to changing priorities and meet deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • 1-2 years experience in office and/or people management
  • Professional decorum, ability to communicate well, both verbally and in written form
  • Understanding of or ability to quickly learn Planning Center Online, Quickbooks, Slack
