Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. offers an internship in Operations focusing on digitalization and automation. The role emphasizes developing Power BI/ Ignition visualizations, cost and quality metrics, and AI-supported tooling within Paint Shop operations.

Eligible students must study abroad from the U.S., be enrolled in Industrial/Mechanical/Electrical Engineering or related fields, and commit for at least 6 months. An hourly rate of $18 is offered plus housing bonus and visa coverage.

Qualifications

• Student in Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Studies outside of the U.S.A; minimum of 3 semesters in relevant field.
• Available for a minimum of 6 months.

Responsibilities

• Support with review and implementation of digital systems to support the operation of the Paint Shop
• Collaborate with existing teams to develop solutions that improve operational transparency and visibility
• Create and enhance Power BI and Ignition visualizations for production and business processes
• Develop reporting and visualization tools for cost, cycle time, fault, OEE, and quality metrics
• Support digitalization initiatives that improve process monitoring and decision-making
• Assist with the implementation and evaluation of AI-supported tools and systems within Paint Shop operations
