Job summary

Mercedes-Benz U.S. International, Inc. invites students to join as a paid internship focused on digitalization and data analytics in Alabama.

You will work on automating trailer-yard operations, building dashboards in Power BI, and converting yard data into actionable metrics to support cost forecasting and process improvements. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, Finance/Controlling or related field
• Strong ability to create and maintain Power BI dashboards
• Experience collecting and analyzing data
• Excellent written and verbal communication
• Understanding of intermodal freight

Responsibilities

• Support digitalization and automation of the trailer storage yard on-site at MBUSI
• Convert data from the trailer yard into useful metrics
• Troubleshoot exception cases where automated processes break down
• Assist in AI-based process automation for invoice auditing
• Collaborate with Transportation and Material Planning teams on reporting and forecasting
• Develop a plan to source and onboard a Transportation Management System
