Job summary

Legends Global is seeking an Operations Crew Member for the Fishers Event Center. This is a full-time, on-site role supporting event prep and facility operations with heavy lifting and physical work as needed, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

You will collaborate with engineers and temporary staff to keep spaces safe, clean, and ready for guests, and you’ll help manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced venue environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 1–3 months related experience, or equivalent.
• Ice maintenance and/or ice resurfacing experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup/teardown for events (floors, chairs, walls, barricades, tables).
• Load/unload delivery trucks and transport supplies.
• Clean and janitorial tasks before/after events (sweeping, mopping, trash).
• Perform repairs and maintenance (painting, patching, lighting, filters).
• Assist engineers and subcontractors with building maintenance.
• Report safety concerns promptly to supervisor.
• Lead temporary staff on various tasks as needed.
• Work extended hours including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• Ice maintenance and rink systems support maintenance and repair.

THE ROLE

Fishers Event Center has an excellent and immediate opening for a full-time Operations Crew Member. Under general supervision, performs work as needed to clean, maintain and prepare for events at the facility. Duties include skilled and semi-skilled tasks, which often require heavy lifting and a high degree of physical exertion.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Participate in all aspects of the conversion process in preparation for events. Duties may include setting up and tearing down flooring, portable chairs, operable wall, barricades, staging, tables, other furnishings and equipment
• Perform varies duties to ensure the day-to-day operations of the facility are met. These include, but not limited to, loading/unloading delivery trucks, transporting trash and waste to proper disposal area and replenishing supplies
• Assist with pre/post event cleaning and janitorial tasks including, but not limited to, sweeping, mopping, dusting, trash removal, vacuuming, spot cleaning, washing, stripping, carpet cleaning, window washing and waxing
• Perform repairs and maintenance tasks such as painting, patching, re-lamping, replacing ceiling tile, replacing filters, etc
• Assist building engineers and subcontractors in construction, repair and maintenance of the building
• Report irregularities, discrepancies, safety or damage concerns or loss of property promptly to supervisor
• Assist in leading temporary labor and part time team members on various tasks
• Work extended and/or irregular hours including nights, weekends and holidays, as needed
• Assist in ice maintenance and repair, installing/taking out ice, hockey wall maintenance, and any ice rink systems related maintenance and repair
• Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or G.E.D. and one (1) to three (3) months related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with ice maintenance and/or ice resurfacing machine preferred.

Skills and Abilities

• Strong knowledge of arena, facility, or event operations.
• Knowledge of preventive maintenance practices and facility systems.
• Excellent organizational and project management skills.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced event environment.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and operational software systems.
• Ability to work evenings, weekends, holidays, and irregular schedules based on event activity.
• Remain flexible and adjust to situations as they occur.
