Hawthorne Lane is seeking an experienced Office Administrator to ensure a welcoming, organized, and well-supported workplace in Washington, DC. You will coordinate meetings, travel, and vendor relationships while maintaining calendars and assisting with onboarding and events.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a central resource for day-to-day office needs, ensuring the workplace remains welcoming, organized, and fully supported.
  • Coordinate meetings, appointments, visitors, and other office logistics while providing a polished experience for clients and guests.
  • Oversee office supplies, kitchen inventory, equipment, repairs, and general workplace upkeep, partnering with vendors and internal teams as needed.
  • Support partners with administrative needs, including expense reporting, scheduling, travel coordination, and other day-to-day requests.
  • Support team coordination by keeping calendars up to date and assisting with logistics for new-hire onboarding.
  • Oversee external office partnerships by coordinating with vendors to address day-to-day needs and maintain a well-run workplace.
  • Handle office and financial administration by managing incoming mail and supporting invoice and basic bookkeeping activities.
  • Organize team gatherings, professional events, celebrations, and conferences from initial planning through completion.
  • Support the organization and upkeep of office resources, working with vendors as needed to ensure the team has what it needs to operate effectively.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects through supporting social media and website updates.
