Job summary

Insight Global is seeking an Operational Account Coordinator to serve as the primary operations contact for a freight account, handling ground shipments from booking to delivery.

You will validate requests, create bookings in the customer platform and TMS, monitor loads for consolidation, and proactively communicate delays or exceptions to the customer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in freight/logistics or related customer-facing roles.
• Experience owning day-to-day customer account communications.
• Hands-on with Transportation Management Systems (TMS).
• Knowledge of domestic ground freight (FTL/LTL/intermodal).

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary operational contact for an assigned account, managing ground shipments from booking to delivery.
• Validate shipment requests, build bookings in the customer platform and TMS, review loads for consolidation.
• Monitor shipment lifecycle boards for delays, exceptions, and changes; communicate updates to the customer.

Schedule: Tuesday - Thursday 6:00PM - 7:00AM

Desired Skills & Experience:

• 2+ years of experience in freight, 3PL, transportation, logistics account coordination, or customer-facing transportation operations
• Experience owning day-to-day communication for a customer account, including shipment updates, escalations, appointment coordination, and proactive communication around delays or exceptions
• Hands-on experience working within a Transportation Management System (TMS) and managing shipments from initial booking/order entry through pickup and delivery
• Working knowledge of domestic ground transportation, including FTL, LTL, and/or intermodal freight, with the ability to understand shipment boards, load details, appointments, and consolidation opportunities

Job Description:

The Operational Account Coordinator will serve as the primary operational point of contact for an assigned customer account, managing ground shipments from the initial booking request through execution and delivery. This person will receive and validate customer shipment requests, build accurate bookings within the customer platform and TMS, and review existing loads to identify consolidation opportunities before creating new shipments. Throughout the shipment lifecycle, they will monitor operational boards for delays, exceptions, appointment changes, and other issues while proactively communicating updates and resolutions to the customer.

Compensation:

$65,000-$80,000

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
