Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises in Minnesota is seeking a Compliance Policy Specialist in the Energy Division to ensure adherence to state and federal policies across projects. You will research, interpret, and implement regulatory requirements, and collaborate with leadership, management, and subcontractors to maintain compliance.

  • Experience in operations, administration, compliance, quality, safety, or related field preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Research and educate yourself on applicable policies at both state and federal levels affecting the industry and markets the division works in.
  • Ensure division leadership, project management teams, and subcontractors understand and comply with applicable requirements on a project-by-project basis.
  • Serve as the main point of contact for all subcontractors used by the division. Ensure master service agreements are in place for partners, and they are operating within the parameters of any applicable federal, state, or other site-specific compliance requirements.
  • Ensure awareness of all subcontractor activity on sites through coordination and touchpoints with KE project management teams.
  • Create project wage determinations and other applicable documents for subcontractors and project management teams on a site-by-site basis to ensure compliance with prevailing wage and apprenticeship requirements.
  • Educate subcontractors on reporting requirements for each site, including payment of prevailing wage, proper classification of workers, certified payroll requirements, and entries into applicable certified payroll tracking systems.
  • In coordination with the Payroll Supervisor, issue registration forms for applicable payroll reporting software programs to all subcontractors. Ensure forms are returned in a timely manner to facilitate KE payroll entering necessary information for site set-up.
  • Maintain liaison with subcontractors through execution of on-site work and subsequent payroll and reporting requirements. Ensure a timely feedback loop between subcontractors and KE payroll regarding progress updates of subcontractors entering necessary information.
  • Weekly, oversee the accurate assignment of prevailing wage classifications on employee time entries, taking into account employee’s position, status and applicable ratios.
  • Monitor required metrics on a site-by-site basis throughout the life cycle of the project and report any shortfalls to management immediately.
  • In coordination with payroll, assist in auditing as necessary to answer customer inquiries.
  • In coordination with division leadership, prepare and submit required applications and compliance reports necessary to maintain good standing with state and federal programs.

Qualifications:
Qualifications



  • High school diploma or GED required.

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, administration, compliance, quality, safety, or a related field prefered.

  • Experience maintaining records, documentation, and compliance-related reporting.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.

  • Ability to interpret and follow company policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook.

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Problem-solving and analytical abilities.

  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.

  • Ability to work independently while coordinating with multiple departments.

The salary range for this position is $50,000 - $70,000 per year
