Job summary

Knobelsdorff Enterprises in Minnesota is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to design, analyze, and optimize electrical system designs and project deliverables to ensure construction readiness aligned with schedule. You will review drawings, support procurement and construction, coordinate with internal teams and external clients, and travel to sites as needed.

KE offers a comprehensive benefits package and a competitive pay range of 80k–120k USD yearly.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in Electrical Engineering or related design/constructability.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent education/experience.
  • Good communication and a proactive, adaptable mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate on projects while managing project timelines to align with schedules and construction needs.
  • Review designs for constructability and coordinate updates to ensure success of construction teams.
  • Provide direct technical support from design through procurement, construction, and maintenance.
  • Review drawings and project documentation; review customer specifications; assist with RFIs and Submittals; review equipment specifications; generate material takeoffs.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to support electrical system design.
  • Travel to site to coordinate with project and construction teams as needed.
  • Ensure installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical system specifications and drawings.
  • Establish construction/installation standards through documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with NEC and customer requirements through documentation and testing activities.
  • Work with internal teams and external partners to support design and execution of projects.
  • Foster strategic relationships with partners.
  • Acquire ongoing technical knowledge to remain a reliable engineering resource.
  • Interface with regulatory agencies and manufacturers/distributors.
  • Manage project files and records across multiple projects.
  • Identify challenges and drive continuous improvement with SMEs.

Job Description

Purpose:


Design, analyze, andoptimizeelectrical system designsandproject deliverables toensure construction readinessis aligned withprojectdemands and schedule.Collaborate on and contribute to innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of our clients and industry standards.


Responsibilities



  • Workcollaboratively on projects while managing project timelines, ensuring completion of projectsand deliverables are aligned with schedules and constructionneeds.

  • Reviewdesignsforconstructabilityand coordinateupdates andimprovements whereneeded to ensure the success ofconstruction teams.

  • Provide directtechnical support,from start to finish of projects,ondesign, procurement and constructionforequipment, materials, execution,and maintenance.

  • Engage internally and with externalcustomers, engineers, and othersto support thedesign of electrical systemsor portions of electrical systems.

  • As needed, travel to site to support and coordinate with project and construction teams for successful project execution.

  • Ensurethat installation and operations conform to standards and customer requirements by preparing electrical systems specifications, technical drawings,and project documents.

  • Establish construction, manufacturing, or installation standards or specificationsthrough documentation review and/or creation.

  • Ensurecompliance with specifications, NEC codeandcustomer requirementsthroughdirection and coordination of documentation, material,installation,support,and/or testing activities.

  • Work collaborativelywith internal preconstruction,designand operations teams as well asexternal customers, vendors,subcontractorsand engineering partnerstosupport technical aspects ofthedesign and execution ofprojects.

  • Foster key strategic relationships with various partners.

  • Ongoingintegrationand gainoftechnical knowledge tofurtherestablishself asareliable source of information to the engineering team.

  • Interfacewith regulatory agencies and manufacturers/distributors.

  • Manage project files, drawings,documents& recordsacross multiple projects at a time.

  • Identifychallenges and work withQuality andSMEs to resolve issuesand implement continuous improvement actions.


Qualifications


  • 3-5 years’ experience in ElectricalEngineering orinclude experience in proper design and constructability.

  • Bachelor’s degree in ElectricalEngineering, Construction Management, or equivalent education/experience.

  • Good communication skills and a positive attitude.

  • Must be self-motivated and flexible to accommodate changes in KE business strategies

  • Have entrepreneurial approach to problem solving and be accountable for project decisions and actions.

  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.

  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.
