Job summary

Knobelsdorff is seeking an aspiring project/ construction management student to support our PM team in Minnesota. You’ll help with documentation, reporting, and site coordination while gaining hands-on experience on diverse industrial projects.

You’ll collaborate with field crews, attend tailgate and preconstruction meetings, and travel nationwide to assist with job sites as needed. A driver’s license and proficiency with MS Office are required.

Qualifications

  • Enrolled in a degree program related to project or construction management.
  • Must be able to travel nationwide to job sites.
  • Valid driver's license and safe driving history.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with project management tasks as directed by the PM team.
  • Support documentation, reports, trackers, and schedules.
  • Coordinate with field personnel and site leaders to aid daily execution.
  • Prepare reports, deliverables, and closeout documents as needed.
  • Participate in tailgate meetings and preconstruction coordination.

Job Description

You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day‑to‑day responsibilities may include:

  • Work alongside and take direction from Project Management team.
  • Oversee and monitor project-level documentation, adhering to Knobelsdorff standards.
  • Assist with job reporting, crew timecard entry, inspection documents, material delivery/inventory, and project closeout documents.
  • Create, prepare, and coordinate reports, trackers, deliverables, status reports, and other materials as needed.
  • Organize and maintain construction storage container, including tools and construction materials.
  • Assist field personnel on site to complete projects, as needed.
  • Attend “tailgate” meetings prior to work to discuss jobsite hazards, JHA completion, daily objectives, and best practices.
  • Assist with preconstruction preparation and coordination.
  • Coordinate with project teams, field personnel, and site leadership to support daily project execution.
  • Support site needs during occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work as required by project schedules.
Qualifications

You’re someone who shows up ready to work hard, learn fast, and contribute to a team that takes pride in doing things right. Successful candidates typically bring:

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Project Management, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • Ability to travel nationwide to the designated job site.
  • Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license that represents a history of safe & competent driving.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications (i.e., Word, Excel, and Outlook).

Pay Range

Pay Range: $20-25 per hour
