Towson University is seeking an Operations Manager for the StarTUp at Towson University. The role oversees facilities, contracts, procurement, and daily operations to support coworking and program activities.

Responsibilities include managing space, coordinating events, and handling accounts payable with TU Foundation systems, while ensuring excellent customer service and collaboration with staff and resident ventures.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree required.
• At least two years of progressively responsible experience in operations, business administration, facilities, financial administration, event management, or a related field.
• Experience managing multiple operational responsibilities in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment, including financial, procurement, or accounts payable transactions.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills with attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities; able to work with diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of StarTUp, ensuring a welcoming, functional space.
• Coordinate building access, security, and service requests.
• Lead event logistics and program support from planning to post-event follow-up.
• Manage invoicing, payments, procurement, and disbursements with university systems.
• Maintain organized records and support data entry in Salesforce and related systems.
