Job summary

Coda Search Staffing is partnering with a well-established alternative asset manager to recruit an Operations Associate to support investment operations across a diversified portfolio. The role touches investor reporting, fund onboarding, and day-to-day operations in private markets, with collaboration across transfer agents, fund admins, and external managers.

A bachelor’s degree and 1+ year in middle office or investment operations, plus advanced Excel, are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field.
• 1+ years of experience in middle office, investment operations, fund operations, or portfolio operations within a family office, asset manager, fund administrator, or alternative investment firm.
• Experience supporting alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, or real assets.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience working with investment accounting or portfolio management systems.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day operations across a portfolio of alternative investments, including private equity, private credit, hedge funds, and real assets.
• Partner closely with transfer agents and 3rd party admins to ensure accurate reporting and a seamless client experience.
• Coordinate the onboarding of new funds, investment managers, and service providers.
• Prepare and distribute investor and portfolio reporting, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
• Monitor capital calls, distributions, subscriptions, and redemptions while maintaining accurate investment records.
• Reconcile investment activity and work closely with fund administrators, custodians, and external managers to resolve operational issues.
• Identify opportunities to improve workflows, automate processes, and enhance operational control.
• Support ad hoc projects related to portfolio management, reporting, and systems enhancement.
