Job summary

Schonfeld is seeking an Operations Associate in Fort Lauderdale to support daily hedge fund operations during U.S. trading hours and early APAC workflows. No prior experience is required and training will be provided to the right candidate.

You will work with portfolio managers, traders, prime brokers, and tech teams to ensure accurate trade processing and smooth daily operations. The role offers learning opportunities across hedge fund operations and market workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python is a plus.
• Willingness to learn and take ownership of responsibilities.
• Ability to support early APAC operational coverage when needed.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operational workflows for U.S. and early APAC trading activities.
• Coordinate with prime brokers and counterparties to resolve missing trade files, locate issues, trade rejects, and order mismatches.
• Perform OMS and position reconciliations/tie-outs.
• Investigate and resolve operational breaks and discrepancies.
• Work closely with trading, portfolio management, and technology teams.
• Assist with operational process improvements and ad hoc projects.
• Learn and develop knowledge of hedge fund operations and market workflow.

What You’ll Do
