Job summary

Alexander Chapman is seeking an Investment Operations Associate for a multi-strategy asset manager in Los Angeles. The role provides exposure across operations, trading support, regulatory reporting, and investor due diligence within a sophisticated investment environment.

You will work with brokers, custodians, and internal teams to reconcile positions, cash, and P&L, manage corporate actions, and contribute to vendor governance and compliance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of hedge fund operations or investment operations experience.
• Experience supporting multi-asset or alternative investment strategies preferred.
• Strong Excel and analytical skills with ability to investigate and resolve complex operational issues.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to thrive in a small, high-performing team.
• Exposure to OMS, Bloomberg, and fund administration platforms is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily position, cash, and P&L reconciliations across multiple counterparties.
• Coordinate with brokers, custodians, and third-party providers to resolve trade exceptions and ensure accurate settlements.
• Support daily trade processing and act as a key point of contact for the investment team.
• Manage corporate actions, dividends, proxy events, and operational lifecycle activities.
• Review financing and cash balances while identifying opportunities to improve operational efficiency.
• Assist with regulatory reporting and operational projects.
• Participate in investor operational due diligence meetings and contribute to firmwide operational initiatives.
• Work closely with senior leadership on compliance, vendor management, and internal governance processes.
