Job summary

Schonfeld is seeking an Operations Associate in Fort Lauderdale to support daily hedge fund operations and trade processing. No prior experience is required as training is provided. You will collaborate with portfolio managers, traders, prime brokers, and technology teams to ensure smooth workflows.

This role involves learning hedge fund operations, coordinating with counterparties, and contributing to process improvements while supporting both U.S. trading hours and early APAC coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Computer Science, or a related field is required.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment is needed.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills are important.
• Basic familiarity with SQL and/or Python is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and manage daily operational workflows for U.S. and early APAC trading activities.
• Coordinate with prime brokers and counterparties to resolve missing trade files and locate issues.
• Perform OMS and position reconciliations/tie-outs.
• Investigate and resolve operational breaks and discrepancies.
• Work closely with trading, portfolio management, and technology teams.
• Assist with operational process improvements and ad hoc projects.
• Learn and develop knowledge of hedge fund operations and market workflow.
