Job summary

Dow is seeking an Associate Operator for the LP-7 Gas Phase Polyethylene facility in Prentiss, Alberta, Canada. You will operate assigned equipment, monitor process conditions, and work in a 12-hour rotating shift to support safe and efficient plant operations.

You will bring a High School Diploma or GED, a 4th class Power Engineering certificate, 2+ years of related experience, and the ability to work legally in Canada.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• ABSA 4th class Power Engineering Certificate required (Canada).
• 2+ years of related Operations/Instrumentation/Mechanical/Electrical work.
• Must be 18 years or older; valid Canadian driver's license.
• Ability to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook; ability to work legally in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment in assigned plant areas.
• Maintain and improve safe, reliable, and efficient operation.
• Perform scheduled operational tasks and respond to unplanned events.
• Collaborate with shift teams to balance workload and meet due dates.
• Ensure effective shift relief and handoffs between teams.
• Maintain qualification in assigned areas and pursue training goals.
• Mentor and train operations personnel in process operation and troubleshooting.
• Participate in Emergency Response and root cause investigations as needed.
• Track plant KPIs on shift to optimize performance and discipline.
• Perform Autonomous Maintenance and minor repairs as required.
