Job summary

Dow invites applications for an Associate Operator role at LP-7 Operations in Prentiss, Alberta. You will operate and monitor process equipment, perform maintenance, mentor teammates and participate in emergency response activities on a 12-hour rotating shift.

Qualified candidates have a high school diploma or GED, a Canadian ABSA 4th class Power Engineering certificate, and 2+ years of related experience. A valid Canadian driver's license is required.

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma or GED equivalent is required.
• A minimum ABSA 4th class Power Engineering Certificate is required.
• 2 or more years of related work experience.
• Must be 18 years old or older.
• Must have a current and valid Canadian Driver's license.
• Able to work a 12-hour rotating shift.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is preferred.
• A minimum requirement for this Canada based position is the ability to work legally in Canada. No visa sponsorship is available.

Responsibilities

• Operate and monitor process equipment to maintain safe, reliable operation.
• Maintain discipline and handoffs between shifts.
• Perform autonomous maintenance and minor repairs.
• Participate in Emergency Response Team program.
• Complete training goals and improve plant performance.
