Job summary

Maersk Warehousing and Distribution USA LLC is seeking an Operations Associate in Coppell, TX. You will manage freight forwarding shipments across multiple modes, ensuring high-level operations excellence and a quality customer experience while maintaining station KPIs.

The role involves tracking shipments, negotiating carriers, coordinating load tenders, and providing effective communication with customers and other stations.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be able to type 35+ words per minute.
• Must be able to work in a demanding, high-volume environment, particularly with email and calls.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word.

Responsibilities

• Tracking and tracing outbound shipments
• Inspecting outbound freight
• Contracting new carriers and assigning them, providing load tenders
• Communicating freight status and issues to stations and customers, updating the system
• Provide customer service
• Run reports
• Work overtime and weekend on call rotations
• Data entry of shipments into transportation management system
• Domestic air and ground routing (including Canada)
• Negotiate freight rates
• Develop carrier relationships
• Find and develop new logistics/freight opportunities and design carrier solutions for other Pilot offices and external customers

JOB SUMMARY:

The Operations Associate is responsible for controlling freight forwarding shipments into and out of the station across various modes of transportation based on customer requests. The primary focus is providing a high-level operations excellence and a quality customer service experience to all customers while maintaining station KPI’s.

Essential Functions:

• Tracking and tracing outbound shipments

Pay Range: $22 to $26 per hour

Monday through Friday

8:00 am to 5:00 pm

*The above stated pay range is the anticipated starting salary range for the position. The Company may adjust this range in light of prevailing market conditions and other factors such as location. The Company will work directly with the selected candidate(s) on the final starting salary in accordance with all applicable laws.
