The role involves assisting with all operational tasks within the store as delegated by the Store Manager, focusing on front-end and sales floor operations. It also includes assisting with hiring, training, and developing store associates.

Principal Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assist with all store functions and daily activities as directed by the Store Manager
• Perform opening and closing procedures in the absence of the Store Manager
• Help protect and secure all company assets, including store cash
• Adhere to all policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
• Maintain a professional and friendly environment with customers, subordinates, and supervisors
• Maintain store areas, including stockroom and sales floor, to company standards, including recovery
• When the Store Manager is absent, have direct supervisory responsibility for all hourly associates
• Process all corporate directives and related store activities as delegated
• Assist with receipt and return of DSD merchandise, following VIP and DSD policies
• Ensure proper staffing coverage and sales effectiveness daily
• Manage cashiering activities to follow cash handling practices and guidelines
• Coordinate store signage and manage seasonal displays and fixtures
• Handle damaged merchandise daily
• Assist with weekly scheduling and manage store supplies and expenses
• Maintain checkout area to maximize impulse sales
• Refill coolers and displays daily, including promotional items

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications:

• Prefer prior retail and management experience
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and written skills
• Ability to lift, bend, and transport up to 50 lbs
• Ability to work in a high-energy team environment
